authenticity and courage.

Self-compassion is the practise of being kind, understanding, and supportive toward yourself — especially when things feel overwhelming or when you feel like you’re not meeting your own high standards.
It’s about treating yourself with the same care and concern that you would offer a friend or loved one. This includes responding to your thoughts and emotions with mindfulness, non-judgmental awareness, warmth, and empathy.
For high-achievers and over-thinkers, self-compassion can feel unfamiliar or even counterintuitive — but it’s a skill that can be developed. Many evidence-based therapies involve practices and training in self-compassion and mindful awareness, helping you notice stress and self-criticism without letting it take over, and creating space to respond with steadiness and care.
