Self-Compassion; the practice of being kind, understanding, and supportive toward oneself. It involves treating yourself with the same care and concern that you would offer to a friend or loved one. Self-compassion is about acknowledging and responding to the self with mindfulness, non-judgmental awareness, warmth and empathy. A key component of most therapies involve training in self-compassion and mindful awareness.
